On November 25th 1997, WMO decided to name typhoon by Asia featured names. 10 countries under WMO, including China, North Korea, HK, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Micronesia, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, the USA and Vietnam, each comes up with 10 names. These names consist of a list and are for recycling use. Longwang (replaced by Haikui later on), Wukong, Yutu, Haiyan, Fengshen, Haishen, Dujuan, Dianmu, Haima and Haitang are 10 names on the list from China。
